New patients often remark that the clinic has a very “comforting atmosphere”. That’s good, a natural feeling, because we try to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.
You will be greeted by the lovely Deanne (from 8-3) or Julia (3-6).
Make Yourself at Home
You will find ample convenient parking with full wheelchair access and an elevator. If you have used the website to access the admitting paperwork, print it off and fill it out prior to attending the clinic. This way you can take your time answering your health questions and concerns in detail at home.
We Explain Everything First – Listening and Development of a Partnership

The purpose of the consultation with Dr Norman is to discuss your initial problem and health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough history and physical examination will help identify the most likely cause of your problem. If I do not believe I can help you or are not a candidate for chiropractic treatment, I will tell you and refer you to an appropriate ‘preferred provider’ specialist as soon as possible.
Examination: My patients often comment how thorough the examination is, compared with other practitioners they’ve consulted. Expect a European-based health care approach to your injury and concerns, not at all like North American trained Chiropractors.
It consists of:
- Orthopedic
- Neurological
- Chiropractic Motion Palpation
- Muscle Testing
- Functional Neuromechanic Movement Pattern Testing
- X-rays are only taken if they are clinically beneficial and necessary
- MRI and CT scans can be arranged if clinically indicated
The initial visit generally last 1 hour, so please plan accordingly.
Your Second Visit

The Report of Findings – up to 30 minutes
After I review your health history and correlate our physical examination findings, I will discuss the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan recommendations and options, full informed consent and a detailed explanation using anatomical models and 3-D computer animations.
This two-visit approach accomplished several things:
- Reduces the length of your first visit
- Gives ample time to correlate my findings
- Avoids overloading you with too much information
- Time to gather: X-ray, MRI, CT scan, Ultrasound, Bone scan results from your GP and/or hospital
- A popular request is for “reading” and explaining the results of prior X-ray, MRI or CT scans to the patient so you can actually see your body and learn from the results.
Two letters are sent to your GP: the first is a diagnosis of your condition, the second letter is a treatment outcome letter sent one month later keeping all relevant health care providers you know up-to-date on your health status.
Regular Office Visit – time varies

After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.
A typical office visit treatment time depends on the health condition being treated and what treatment technique is utilized, it may require just 10 minutes or up to 30 minutes for individualized rehabilitation sessions.
But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the time spent in previous visits and the groundwork laid, I can efficiently assess any change in the condition of your muscles, joints and nervous system and perform the necessary appropriate treatment and get you on your own way.
Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Missing regular visits, not only indicates a lack of your own health as a priority, you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes and progress.
We do recognize your time is valuable. So we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life. I take pride in having a minimal wait time for clinic appointments, it is very rare to be waiting more than 10 minutes for your appointment. All we ask in return, is 24 hours notice when canceling and being punctual.
